Decoding Hair Care: Finding the Right Formula for Your Scalp

Most people choose shampoo based on hair length or scent. But the healthiest hair starts with the scalp — the soil your hair grows from. Read it correctly and the right products become obvious.
Know your scalp type
- Oily: roots feel greasy within a day. Look for clarifying, lightweight formulas.
- Dry: tightness, flaking, dull strands. Reach for nourishing, sulphate-free cleansers.
- Balanced: comfortable for two to three days. A gentle everyday formula is ideal.
Wash less than you think
Daily washing can trigger your scalp to overproduce oil. For most people, two to three washes a week keeps the scalp balanced and the hair shaft protected.
Condition with intent
Apply conditioner from mid-length to ends, never the roots. The goal is to seal the cuticle and retain moisture where your hair needs it most.
Hair care is not about chasing trends — it is about understanding what is happening at the root and responding to it with care.
